How can i use this hp 710C printer?

we just got this free printer, ( i can tell its a older one) but we want to use it, how can i get my computer to reconize i have it? i got everything puged it and my competer does not show that its even thereHow can i use this hp 710C printer?

u need this to use the printer first find out weather ur printer is working and cartridges are working or not, for this u need not to connect ur PC Just plug in the power adaptor to printer and power on and if the led is still on not flashing then load a paper in the tray and press the paper button on the printer and it prints out a test page..





now if it prints ok now u need a parallel port / printer cable and download the printer drivers from this hp link just select o/s and download link:

plug in the printer before u start PC and install the printer drivers from printers and faxes add new printer select port as lpt1 and browse for drivers and select the downloaded drivers and install accordingly and that's it at last it ask for print test page hit it and click yes if ur printer prints then ok or contact a printer engineer if he certifies that printer is dead simply return it to its source. because u struggled a lot for it ..

1. make sure printer is plugged in to power source (wall, power supply)

This is teh hp site for your model.
Go to the HP website (www.hp.com), and go to the download section, and download the drivers (I assume it is the entrance type so you will need a printer cable as well)
i agree that you should go to hp website to download what you need. where you can find answer. good luck
