I'm trying to install a new printer (hp deskjet f300) and it keeps saying ';Installation un-?

succesful, and it says it may be because Microsoft Works is running in ';safe mode';. How do I change that?I'm trying to install a new printer (hp deskjet f300) and it keeps saying ';Installation un-?
Very odd. Restart the PC first. Next, open Word (if u have Works 2006) and then close it in case it is runing in safe mode because it crashed before, etc. It should tell you that it is if it is. Then try again. If still no, then crtl-alt-delete and see if msworks, ms word, calendar, spreadsheet, or task launcher are on the list on the second ';processes tab'; . If they are, end task on them (but nothing else unless u know what you're closing) and then try again. If still no, try chatting with HP tech support here:

Perhaps they can help because I've never seen that error installing a printer before and I can't imagine why it would return it. (It could be a generic message and it isn't necessarily MS Works causing the problem, I'm not sure)I'm trying to install a new printer (hp deskjet f300) and it keeps saying ';Installation un-?
You restart your computer, and hit f12, that will take you to the help screen in which you can take your computer into and out of safe mode.
