Is there a laser printer that could beat the HP 900 in terms of how much I can save?

The HP 900 has 2 cheap and large cartridges, capable of printing lots and lots before running out. However, I've recently heard that laser printers are more economic (while also producing better quality prints) than inkjet printers.

My question is, is there a laser printer that could beat the HP 900 or should I just stick with it?Is there a laser printer that could beat the HP 900 in terms of how much I can save?
the depends, if yo are refilling or buying compatible cartridges and you are comparing it to a color laser the answer is actually no, you will not save any money.

you can buy a compatible cartridge for about $20 for that bad boy that will print just like the HP. You will still get your 800 pages per cartridge and it will cost you half as much to run the thing.

For a monochrome laser, yes you will be saving money provided you don't buy the HP P1005 or P1006.

The only thing switching to a laser will save you is time.
