Why is my HP color printer printing everything in purple (no color)?

I changed the cartridge and downloaded a new driver. Is it dead? Why is my HP color printer printing everything in purple (no color)?
Run a diagnostic page it all the colours are coming out purple it is the cartridge...

If it has done the same thing with both cartridges you may have a problem with the contracts inside the printer.. check to see if there is any debris inside the holder. If so unplug printer and gently wipe away with a lint free cloth. Why is my HP color printer printing everything in purple (no color)?
Run the cleaning process on the head and try again.

Seems as one color may not be coming out.

Maybe a defective cartridge.

Are all colors in one cartridge?

If so, take it back and get another one.
check the color properties for your printer and make sure the color balance is to the desired level.
if this problem remains after you purchased new cartridge, color one, then its something in your printer hardware, take it to maintenance, if not reply and I will solve the problem
Try cleaning the print heads (via printer menu)
